Crystal J, RN
Crystal is the Head Nurse at River City. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Boise State University in 2016. Before pursuing OR nursing Crystal spent a year in both the Pediatric and NICU units. She loves caring for children and making a difference for them during a difficult time. In her spare time, you can usually find Crystal in a gym watching her 2 boys play basketball. If she's not in a gym she enjoys traveling with her family or reading a good book. She has also found a new love for paddleboarding.
Amaya M, RN
Amaya has always had an interest in health, biology, and science. She has taken those interests and used them to achieve a successful career as a Registered Nurse. Amaya earned her Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from Boise State University and went on to earn her Associate's Degree of Nursing from College of Southern Idaho and Bachelor's of Nursing from Western Governors University. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in the ICU, Telemetry, and Operating Room settings. Originally from Nevada, Amaya moved to Boise to attend college. She enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her friends and family.
Brenda L, RN
Brenda L is a registered nurse and a military Air Force reserves officer. Her interests include spending time with her family, running, hiking, and volunteering with the humane society. She earned bachelor's degrees in Nursing from Western Governors and Nutrition from the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her master's degree in Human Resources from Oklahoma University and Military Science from Air University.
JoAnna S, CNA
JoAnna is a CNA and a US Air Force Veteran. She was born and raised in Idaho. After high school, she received her CNA education through CWI and graduated in 2015. She then joined the Air Force, where she worked in their Medical department. She and her husband welcomed their son in 2020, which has brought their family back to Idaho. Her interests include spending time with her family, being outdoors, and crafting. She enjoys assisting our patients in all their preoperative and post-operative needs.
Jared W, MSNA, BSN, CRNA
Jared Whiting is a CRNA at River City Surgery Center. He graduated from Boise State University. He then worked for 2.5 years as an RN in the surgical ICU at St.Luke's Regional Medical Center. He was then accepted into Anesthesia school at Clarkson College, where he moved his family to Omaha Nebraska to receive training in anesthesia. When he finished Anesthesia school, he moved back to Boise to work at St. Lukes again, and then the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Idaho, until his current employment here at River City. Jared is a family man who loves spending his free time going on adventures with them & just enjoying life.
Travis H, MSNA, BSN, CRNA
Travis Henderson, CRNA is a board-certified Nurse Anesthetist. He earned his bachelor's degrees in physiology from Brigham Young University and nursing from Idaho State University. He earned his Masters Degree in Biological Science in Anesthesiology from Central Connecticut State University. His interests are providing safe and individualized anesthesia care for his patients. He enjoys boating and camping with his family and friends.
Teresa L, Office Administrator
Teresa was born and raised in the Treasure Valley. She grew up playing sports so it's a given she spends most of her out of office time with her girls at their extracurricular activities. If she's not at their events she is definitely supporting her alum- Boise State... Go Broncos! You will more than likely see her at most home basketball games. She graduated from Boise State with her Associates in Science and her Bachelor's in Health Science. She loves spending time with her family doing just about anything. She loves her job because she gets to help her patients in all aspects of their care. She looks forward to helping you in any way she can!
